Nine Rules
Sunday June 4, 2006

When I woke up this morning and went online, I wasn’t expecting good news like this… but I’m very pleased to say that thinkBuddha has been invited to join the 9rules network in their fourth round of site submissions.
For those who do not know the 9rules network, their website says that:
The 9rules Network is a community of the best weblogs in the world on a variety of topics. We started 9rules to give passionate writers more exposure and to help readers find great blogs on their favourite subjects. It’s difficult to find sites worth returning to, so 9rules brings together the very best of the independent web all under one roof.
I myself was only peripherally aware of 9rules until Shawn Anthony of Lo-Fi Tribe suggested that I submit thinkBuddha to the next submissions round. There were seven hundred sites submitted in all, from which one hundred and eleven were selected. Amongst them were eight sites chosen to join the religion community. My fellow invitees in this community are:
Real Live Preacher
Open Switch
Church Relevance
Making Chutney
Watch-therefore
Tim Boucher.com
Eyes Turned Outward
This is, as a brief glance will demonstrate, a rather eclectic bunch of merry bloggers. And although I’m not entirely sure that thinkBuddha is a religious blog – it all depends upon one’s definition – I’m still very pleased to be invited to be a part of 9rules, and I look forward to seeing what life as a member of the network will bring.

Happy dancing!
Congratulations on being accepted. All I did – and could do – was suggest that you submit. The leadership of 9rules picked you! So, you should feel absolutely proud of all the work you have done.
Yes, “religious” is all semantics, but all we really had as far as monikers go for this specific 9rules Community. Internet and blog readers see it, and understand it. :)
