The Poetic Image

One of the things I do when not running thinkBuddha is act as editor and webmaster for the literature website, Birmingham Words. A few months ago the site relaunched, and we have now published our first literary pamphlet. The Poetic Image: Haiku and Photography is an international collection of words and images, and is guest-edited by haiku poet Alan Summers and photographer Roger Brown. It has been great fun putting all of this together, ploughing through submissions and making a final selection. And as there may be quite a few visitors to thinkBuddha interested in haiku (or, for that matter, photography), I thought I’d mention it here.

The pamphlet is downloadable entirely free of charge in PDF format. The front cover image, by the way, was submitted by Gareth from Green Clouds.

You can download the collection by going to the Birmingham Words download page.

Happy reading!
