Meditation Class in Birmingham
Friday April 20, 2007

Lotus

It’s beautiful weather today – far too beautiful to be inside doing all this rewriting – and the perfect time of year to be outside and in the garden. So I’m very pleased that next week I’ll be starting a new meditation class in the Birmingham Botanical Gardens study centre. The course is due to start on the evening of Tuesday 24th, and consists of ten weekly sessions during which we’ll be looking at meditation as a way of developing stillness and a sense of inquiry. Regular visitors to thinkBuddha probably know the drill by now: it will be more Buddhish than Buddhist, taking a decidedly non-religious approach to meditation.

If you happen to be in Birmingham, do come and join us – there are still a couple of places left! To find out more, visit the Botanical Gardens Study Centre website. You can enrol at the Gardens’ Reception during normal opening hours or by telephoning 0121 454 1860.

I’d love to join you in Birmingham for your Buddish sessions, but life keeps me here in Southern California. A beautiful day here, too! We had some much needed rain yesterday, and this morning, the earth breathes…
